Watch Party Drink
Well, I never said I was good at naming drinks. In fact, I can admit that it's my biggest weakness: naming things I create. I have been behind a bar a number of times, and can actually hang when I want. I have had a lot of good mentors and know my way around craft cocktails (with sometimes too many complex ingredients), but this particular recipe is simple, easy, beautiful, and easy to drink!
- 1 1/2 ounce Deep Eddy Vodka
- 1 ounce hibiscus flower tea
- 1 ounce fresh squeezed lime juice
- 1 ounce simply syrup (equal parts sugar and water by weight - 1 gram to 1 gram)
- Top with Topo Chico
Put all ingredients but the mineral water in a shaker tin, shake, (double strain with a mesh strainer if you want to be extra), pour over ice, and top with Topo Chico.
Garnish with lime and/or mint. Or hibiscus flower if you have it (I did not). Also, if you would like, add mint with the wet ingredients and shake. That definitely requires a double strain. Also, just eliminate the vodka if you want to make a mocktail!
